Cinco de Mayo: Just another French military defeat

On May 5th, 1862, during the lesser known but much tastier Franco-Mexican War, a greatly outnumbered Mexican army defeated the French at the Battle of Puebla.

This was France’s 44th military defeat in history.

The Battle of Puebla. Further research required to confirm presence of cowboys and Ottomon Turks.

And in case you need the answer for a radio show or something, the real Mexican Independance Day (sorta) is September 16.
